There’s simply no denying it, indulgent dining is one of the absolute highlights of any holiday – in fact if your clothes don’t feel a little bit tighter by the end of your time away then we don’t think you’re doing it right!
On board the beautiful Regal Princess, the setting for many of our exclusive sailcations, you’ll find a huge range of dining options to suit every taste, from relaxed and casual to fine dining experiences. Check out our top five restaurant picks on board the Regal Princess.
The Horizon Court Buffet and Bistro (included dining)
Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner
Covering a huge area of the Lido Deck, the Horizon Court Buffet and Bistro is a great place to visit for tasty, quick and convenient food, without the hassle of waiting for a table (this is a particularly good option if you are in a rush to catch a show, head out on a tour or simply want to make the most of the sunshine out on deck!) Breakfast are particularly stand out with a huge range of options, from traditional cooked breakfasts, cereals, cooked to order omelettes, fresh fruit, pancakes and pastries to more exotic options like rice and noodle based stir fries and curries.
Lunch and dinner are an equally varied affair with soups, fish stews, curry’s, roasted meats and vegetables, potatoes, salad, jerk chicken, meatballs, Italian dishes pasta dishes, sandwiches, steaks and tacos all on offer.
One of the best things we think about the Horizon Buffet & Bistro is Pastry Shop that serves freshly made cakes, desserts, cookies – perfect for anyone with a sweet tooth!
Alfredo’s Pizzeria (included dining)
Lunch/Dinner
If you’re looking for a break from the buffet or the dining rooms but don’t want to break the bank, then you can head to Alfredo’s a sit down restaurant that is included within your cruise fare. Here you’ll find freshly baked gourmet pizzas (in the picture you’ll see we went for a ham and pineapple and a seafood pizza!) The atmosphere is very much casual and relaxed here and while pizza is most definitely the most popular item on the menu, you can also enjoy antipasti, soups and salads, calzones, baked pastas, and desserts.
Crown Grill (Fee dining)
A firm favourite and definite dining highlight on board Regal Princess, eating at Crown Grill is worth every extra penny (in our humble opinion!) Steak and seafood are the specialties here and steak is taken seriously, with the Maître D’ happy to talk through all the different cuts on offer before they are cooked to your preference in the open theatre-style kitchen. You can also upgrade your steak to include a lobster tail – so decadent but so delicious! This really is an amazing steakhouse experience and you’ll even have a choices of salt available to complement your dinner including Hawaiian Black, Smoked Applewood and Himalayan Mountain Pink. Don’t forget to book your table in advance on the app!
Sabatinis (Fee dining)
Another fantastic fee dining option, Sabatinis has the romantic atmosphere of a traditional Italian trattoria ticked away on a narrow side street. The waiters and service are exceptional (and the wine is pretty great too!) The menu here is traditionally Italian with your choice of soup and/or salad, a specialty pasta dish with several sauce options, and a selection of meat and seafood options for the main course. There’s also a range of amazing desserts so make sure you leave yourself plenty of room – it’s quite the feast. We particularly loved the burrata and ravioli!
International café (included dining)
Open 24 hours a day – great for those late-night cravings after a few too many cocktails – the International Café is a great option for breakfast, lunch or any time you are feeling a little peckish. Enjoy freshly ground coffee, sweet treats, sandwiches and our ultimate favourite – the amazing bacon and egg muffins that we ate at least two of a day…
